Ya, some kid in Texas, he was the top student in the school, 2000 hours of community service, perfect record, got kicked out of High school cause he left a knife, a butter knife, in the back of his pickup. It was from a picnic his church planned!!!!!!!!! He got expelled, life ruined, and Principal got promoted.
Life Sux.
I feel really bad for that kid.
Lol, he sued the school and not only can he go back, but he gets a nice lump sum of 2 mil. Not much, really.

ok...I think that we shouldn't have weapons in school. You don't really need them. For say...like if a kid was deinitely a good kid and he/she was emotionally and mentally stable then it wouldn't be fair for them to use the zero tolerance thing. I mean accidents happen. But if a person came into school with a weapon ready to do bodily harm to another individual then something should definitely be done. However, I don't believe that dress code has anything to do with a person's mental state since some people are just trying to be different. But on the other hand some people are dressing in extremely revealing clothing which I find repulsive. It's so disgusting. Ok...yesh. Make it stop! I would like to go to school without having to shield my eyes from the horrors of the girls' undergraments showing out in the open.

I think this has gotten a little OFF TOPIC.
anyways, I'd like to quote Benjamin Franklin on this sort of thing:
"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety"

rags are nessacery in some enviroments so you don't get shot by your own gang.
each gang has a color rag and they beat the $#*% out of people on their turf without that color rag.
that mental association is why they were banned.

it's the concept of beatings that the schools fear.
i never said it made sense, i said it was the school system. in other words: conformist brainwashing unconstitutional censororing candy-coated bull$#*% nazi idealists.

Well, its a tradeoff (this is more reflecting their opinion of it than mine)
If a person's troubled, they may not necessarily be obvious, and often aren't. So they have to make a choice here. Either they take every event seriously or they take the risk of having a shooting, complete with the bad publicity/lawsuits/etc., which would almost certainly leave a school and its district in bad shape at best.
Personally I think they should commit more resources to finding troubled kids by other methods than attacking them for anything vaguely related to violence, but I suspect that most school districts are still to narrow minded to consider it

Funny thing is that most people can do more damage with their fists or backbacks or somethign (heavy textbooks

). Maybe they should ban hands or something.

Their job is to keep people safe... If there is a threat of someone being hurt/raped/murdered/ect. then the police do have the right to interfere with it because it is there job... Sorry I'm sticking up for the police... Think of it this way, if you got a phone message that suggesting you were being stalked and possibly this person was trying to murder/rape/hurt/ect. you would call the police to investigate it, would you not?
D3green

That all depends. In my case I have nothing more to say. However I am going to say that what you knw of the police is a lyi and have no clue as to what the truth is.
