You think ROCKS YELLING!?????!! Try rap, rap is in a nut-shell the worst, most disgusting, bad, horrible sounding type of yeling (won't even call it signing), all it has is swears, disses, and profanity. Word.

rap isnt yelling. why u care if they swear; does it hurt your ears?\

aaaannnddd: what are u gonna say there is no swearing in rock.........
Texdragon
True, but rap sucks. Its one of the many things i hate. Its horrible. Disgusting. Hated it!

The reason I don't listen to rap is because I like poetic lyrics, and most rap does not have poetry in its words. That's the reason AFI is one of my favorite bands.

Well poetic things usually rhyme and rapping is sometimes rhyming because rap rhymes

Not necessarily so: for example

"I like pie / I wonder why" rhymes, but I wouldn't describe it as poetic... on the other hand (I'll just use an AFI song as my example)

"When the new actor stole the show, who questioned his grace? / Please clear this house of ill-acquired taste..."

That rhymes (to a certain extent) and is also poetic. You want poetic - read Shakespeare. Read T.S. Eliot. Read Emily Dickinson. 50 Cent and Eminem are not poetic.

I like just plain rock (AFI, Yellowcard) not punk etc...
zsasz
sheesh. too hard for me to decide. I like lots of music; 80s pop (MwH, Icehouse, Flock of Seagulls), 'old school' rap (Fat Boys, Eazy-E), metal (Slayer, Cradle of Filth), Opera (Lara Fabian, Sara Brightman, Domingo), Rat Pack (Dino, SDJ), J-Pop (Yoko Kanno, Pillows, Seatbelts)... just about anything except country and gospel.
paulmer2003
lol yah me to. i like almost everything accespty todahys rock/punk/any country/

I like Other. If you guys have heard of Marty O'Donnell (the composer for Bungie, who made Myth, Marathon, Halo, and Halo 2), you know that he rocks. His music is usually with monks chanting, but with Middle Eastern and African beats. Conbine that with his love of the electric guitar, and you get some of the awesomest game songs ever.

Why isn't Jazz up there?
