I have very good news for everyone, the uploader is fixed! It's also improved, so feel free to wander over to http://upload.freedomsnet.net instead of using photobucket and sites that drastically limit the bandwith. As always enjoy smile.gif

Recent Events
Posted By: Steven Turner On Friday, August 4, 2006 (11:45 PM)
Recently some sites were defaced by a hacker, we're currently investigating this to see why and how the hacker got access to these sites files. In the mean time, we'd like to recommend that people not leave their permissions for their important documents set to an open level such as 777 where someone could easily edit your files or completely deface your website. We'll update you with more info on this as the investigation progresses. As always we strongly encourage utilizing the built in site backup utility in your Plesk control panels. Feel free to contact me or Don directly if you have any questions.

Thanks For All Attending
Posted By: Steven Turner On Sunday, February 19, 2006 (10:37 AM)
I'd like to extend my thanks to everyone who attended the recent lan party, it was a total success!! I appreciate everyone following the strict time guidelines we had for this one as far as leaving on time. I had a great time and from what I was told by everyone, it seems like you all had a great time as well. Thanks you for cleaning up as well as you did and respecting each other. You all help make this lan party one of our best ones to date. I'd like to extend a big thank you to everyone that helped setup, clean up, brought extra computers for those who didn't have one to bring, and most of all for attending and having a great time! I'll be posting pictures as soon as I recieve them from Andy. Thanks again everyone, I look forward to having another one real soon. wink.gif

Lan Party
Posted By: Donald Winship On Thursday, February 9, 2006 (04:31 PM)
For local members of FreedomsNet, we are having a LAN party on Saturday, February 18th, 4:30 PM - 9AM. I hope as many of you as are able attend. Please bring a sleeping bag as well as any other stuff to sleep over.

If you need any of the games feel free to visit my FTP at: ftp://freedom::2121
Please don't download anything but the games we'll be playing. I will ban anyone who does. Everyone NEEDS to be out by 9:00am SHARP!!!

Rules to Note Before Attending:

1. If you do not plan on playing games or only playing one game, forget about coming and if you do end up coming and only play a couple games, plan on getting kicked out, we don't need trouble starting from people sitting around. Don't plan on being invited to another one if you think of doing this.

2. Bring your own computer and make sure it can support the games we're playing, if you don't have your own computer please contact Steve ASAP, He has a few to lend out.

3. Donations would be appreciated for food and such as that kinda stuff does cost money, so please try to bring like 5 or 10 dollars.

4. Do not sleep on the couch in the entertainment room, that couch is brand new and off limits, if anyone sleeps on there, they will be kicked out. Don't plan on being invited to another one if you break this rule.

5. Please plan on having a ride at 9:00am, no later!!! If you can't get a ride home please let Steve know in ADVANCE, so he can arrange one for you.

6.Please treat anyone who is a parent/adult in the house with respect, if you enjoy having these things, make sure everything is clean when we're done and treat Steve's house with respect and keep everything at a manageable level. Don't plan on being invited back ever again if you break this rule.

7. HAVE A GREAT TIME!

Probable games:
Counter-Strike Source
UT2004
Battlefield 2

Please contact either myself or Steve for additional details.

Regular Cleanup
Posted By: Steven Turner On Wednesday, February 1, 2006 (08:52 PM)
We've taken the liberty of pruning any members who had registered and posted nothing, so now we have the correct amount of users with 1 or more posts. So don't be alarmed if you see the member count has changed a significant amount. Thanks to those who continue to post and keep this community alive smile.gif

Up Again
Posted By: Donald Winship On Monday, January 16, 2006 (03:48 PM)
Our recent downtime was due to an issue with renewing freedomsnet.net with the domain registar. That problem has been sorted out, and everything should be coming back to normal gradually.
