No platform :)
just go to http://www.runescape.com
and press "Create Account"
put in a username that you want (mine are Lordmccoy, and Trinexx4)
go to the bottom of the next screen and press "I Accept"
then on the next screen put in a pasword.
Then you have made your own account :D

Then press "Play Game" on that screen or go to the Main page and press "Play Game"

Pick High Detail (has Music) or Low Detail (runs faster but doesn't have music)
then pick a world (the game runs faster on a server near where you live)
and then the game will load
and then u put in ur username and password and start playing

after the game loads you pick what your character looks like. (ex. Blue hair, cut pants, shirt with pockets, etc.)
and finally you go through a tutorial about how to play the game (ex. mining, smithing, fighting, wood cutting, fire making, cooking, fishing, etc.) and after the tutorial you finally play the game. (phew that's alot of typing...)

Yea ^_^ I play the game alot. When your a newbie and ur on the main land ppl will call u "n00b" or "noob" (both are the same thing...) meaning newbie...

also if you put your cursor over a person it will say the level of that person and the level will have a color. red = don't attack this person, yellow = same level as you, green = you'll have an easy time attacking this person :D

this is also the same for monsters (Like if you are only level 25 you wouldn't want to kill a lesser demon level 8-, except there is a defference to this rule.. in the wizard's tower there is a lesser demon but you can kill it with magic or arrows.. i did this once. but it was very hard :( but more people came and helped me so it had died eventually :)

One more thing.. BEWARE OF SCAMMERS!!! If someone asks you for your password DON'T TELL THEM IT even if they claim to be jagex staff!

and if a person that is only level 3 says that they have really good armor (ex. addy [admant or admanite {not sure which one it is yet}], mith [mithrill] or rune [runite {also best armor}] and black [can only be purchaced when a person has 32 quest points]) they are most likely an item scammer. if you do trade with them notice these colors

also if someone says that they have gold or silver armor that's not possible. Silver and Gold bars are used for crafting

and if someone says they can do trimming that's not possible either.

Well, Runescape is ok. I joined the game like 3 months after it first started (well, more like 5 months: Feb 2000). I am personally known by loads of mods (mostly player mods), and have been an active RSCer (Runescape Community) for years.


I currently have nearly 1 mil (pocket change) in my bank. For all you guys wondering, I'm gonna be helping with the Masors Drop (dropping a cool 25 mil of stuff) behind Al Karid bank on the 25th. I donated like 10k stuff to Masors, a clan which I will soon join.



EDIT: Mccoy, you sound like a noob (no offence). Rune sucks, Dragon rules. Best weapon is dragon B axe.

Dragon hide mostly sucks, cept in PKing. Or wearing the blue and red kinds in a non-member world. The only major upside is that it is cheap and has no downsides (nothing against prayer, mage, etc.)
